NOX Genius 12K Alum XTREM Lite by Agustín Tapia 2027

What to expect

On paper this is the Genius for advanced players who find the standard 12K too firm or too demanding. The soft HR3 core and low swingweight point to fast hands and comfort, while the teardrop shape still leaves room to attack. Players after pure control or maximum smash power should look elsewhere in the range.

The Nox Genius 12K Alum Xtrem Lite 2027 is the lighter, softer member of Agustín Tapia's 2027 Genius family. It keeps the teardrop shape, the 12K Alum Xtrem carbon face and the Weight Balance system of the standard Genius, but swaps in a lower density core to bring the weight down and soften the response.

The aim is clear: give advanced players the Genius character in a racket that is easier to handle. One number is uncertain. Our catalogue lists 355g, while PadelShop's spec sheet gives 360 to 375g, so check the weight on the racket you buy. It was in pre-order at the time of writing, shipping from 19 October.

What the Brand Says

Nox and its retailers describe the Lite as the most maneuverable Genius in the range. The claimed technologies are a 12K Alum Xtrem carbon face for a smooth, consistent response across temperatures, an HR3 White EVA core that is lighter and softer than the standard core, a Dual Spin 3D sandblasted surface for grip on the ball, EOS Tunnel holes in the frame for airflow, and Weight Balance counterweights of 2g and 4g that fit in the handle, up to 8g in total, with no tools.

PadelShop measured the racket at 63 out of 75 for hardness, which it calls soft, and 149 for swingweight, well below the average and closer to control rackets than power ones. Those are a retailer's measurements, not a test of how it plays. Early video coverage of the 2027 line so far is limited to range overviews such as the4Set's reveal of the new collection and RacketshopTV's guide to the five Genius models, not dedicated hands-on reviews of the Lite.

How It Compares

On paper, against the 2026 AT10 Genius 12K Alum Xtrem Lite, the recipe looks very close: same shape family, same face carbon, same idea of a lighter, softer Genius. Reviewers liked the 2026 Lite for comfort and ease, so the 2027 version should appeal to the same player. Against the standard 2027 Genius 12K Alum Xtrem, the Lite should feel softer and quicker, while the standard model should give more firmness and punch for players with fast, clean swings.
