Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge Comfort 20277.9

Conclusion

Off-centre hits still travel deep, and the softer face keeps vibration low through long matches. It suits intermediate and comfort-minded advanced players who want a pro-line diamond without hard carbon. Players who want the Neuron's dry, exact placement at high pace should pick the carbon Edge instead.

The Neuron 02 Edge Comfort is new in Bullpadel's 2027 range. It keeps the geometric Edge head from Fede Chingotto's Neuron line, but swaps the stiff 3K carbon faces for Fibrix, Bullpadel's carbon and glass fibre blend, over a MultiEVA core. The result is the softer, easier-hitting version of the most attacking Neuron.

That matters more this year because the standard Neuron 02 moves to a new, firmer Hard EVA core. This Comfort model is now the most forgiving way into the Neuron family, and at around 260 euros it also costs noticeably less than the carbon models.

What the Reviewers Say

What the reviewers say

Hands-on coverage is still thin, because the racket only reached shops at the start of September 2026. The early verdicts point the same way, though. pdhsports took it on court and found it livelier than both carbon Neurons: "the ball really pops off this racket", thanks to a softer face that absorbs the ball and sends it back. The same video calls it comfortable on the arm, easy to play and quick enough for fast volleys.

MoreEverythingPadel tested the whole 2027 line at a demo day and put the Comfort models in one bracket: "you can still get loads of power with these models, you just get a lot softer feel and the price is a lot less." The channel adds a note of caution about the family, though: in that test the Neurons blended together and did not stand out the way the Xplo and Vertex did.

Dani 13 went through the 2027 catalogue before launch rather than on court. He expects the Edge Comfort to be "a bit more comfortable, with easier ball output and more sweet spot than the previous versions". He also doubts it will differ much from the Xplo 02 Comfort, since every Comfort model shares the same Fibrix and MultiEVA build.

Where they agree: a softer feel, more free depth and less strain on the arm. What is still open: how much of the Neuron's precision survives the softer face. No reviewer has tested that in depth yet.

How it plays..

Our take: Kaj's summary

The Comfort build is the reason to buy this one. The softer face gives depth to balls you do not hit perfectly, and the vibration dampers make long sessions easier on the arm, so improving players get the Edge shape without the penalty of hard carbon. The trade-off is the precision the Neuron name is known for: expect slightly less exact placement at high pace than with the carbon Edge.

Defense

The softer face helps most here. Lobs and resets off the glass travel deep without a big swing, and pdhsports found it quick enough to react in defence. Players who defend through precision may find the ball leaves the face a little livelier than they want on soft blocks.

Attack

The geometric Edge head and a medium balance give enough weight for bandejas and víboras, but this is not a flat-smash racket. Reviewers describe power that comes from the softer face returning the ball, not from head weight. Hard hitters who want a dry, explosive response are better served by the carbon Edge or the Xplo.

Netplay

At around 365g with a balance near 26 cm, it moves quickly at the net. Volleys still carry pace on short swings, which helps players who block more than they punch. The 3D Grain surface adds some bite on slice and víbora.

Our Advice for New Players

Not the first choice. It is forgiving for a Bullpadel pro-line racket, but the diamond-style head and the price are more than a beginner needs. A round Comfort or entry model is a better start.

Our Advice for Intermediate Players

The best fit. Intermediate players who want a pro-line shape with more help on off-centre hits and less vibration get the most out of it.

Competitive level

Advanced players who value comfort or nurse a sore arm can play it at a high level. Players who rely on a dry, precise response at high pace will prefer the carbon Neuron 02 Edge.

How It Compares

How it compares

Against the Bullpadel Neuron 02 2027: the standard Neuron now pairs a Hard EVA core with 3K carbon, so it is much firmer and more precise, but it gives little free depth. Pick the Neuron 02 if you build points and make your own pace. Pick the Edge Comfort if you want help on the ball and an easier feel.

Against the Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge 2027: same geometric head, but the 3K carbon faces make it firmer and more exact. Pick the carbon Edge for a dry, attacking feel, and the Comfort for forgiveness and arm comfort.

Against the Bullpadel Xplo 02 Comfort 2027: early reviewers expect little difference in feel, since both use Fibrix and MultiEVA. Pick the Xplo Comfort if you want the more power-focused shape.

Same geometric head, but the Comfort uses Fibrix faces instead of 3K carbon, so it feels softer, adds depth and is easier on the arm.
