BULLPADEL Neuron 02 Edge 20268.3

Conclusion

Hard volleys and víboras leave with real pace, yet the dry face keeps them from sailing into the glass. It suits advanced players on either side who swing fully and like to attack from the net. Anyone who needs free depth from the back, or quick hands in fast exchanges, is better served by the standard Neuron 02.

The Bullpadel Neuron 02 Edge 2026 is the attacking half of Federico Chingotto's Neuron line. For years the Neuron was a single racket, a teardrop built for control. In 2026 Bullpadel split it in two. The standard Neuron 02 stays close to that recipe, while the Edge gets a geometric, diamond-leaning head, a slightly larger face and a higher balance of around 26 cm. Chingotto asked for more punch without losing the Neuron's precision, and the Edge is the racket he now plays on tour.

The new mould is the main change from last year. Its faceted PrismLock frame and reworked foam core make it firmer and stiffer than the 2025 Neuron, and most testers describe the feel as dry and medium-hard. Removable dampers and a weight slot at the top of the head let you shift weight and balance a little. It launched at around €320 and now sells from about €210 at discount shops.

What the Reviewers Say

What the reviewers say

Testers agree on the big picture: the Edge is the most attacking Neuron so far, and it keeps its control when you hit hard. They also agree on what that costs. The dry face gives little help at slow pace and punishes off-centre contact.

Dani 13 calls it his favourite racket in Bullpadel's 2026 collection. Firm play at the net and overhead won him over, because the ball comes out quick and you can hit harder "without the fear that it flies into the glass." He is just as clear that it is a technical racket: miss the sweet spot and the ball stays short.

Probando Palas put it head to head with the standard Neuron 02 and did not expect the result: "It surprised me, I didn't think it would feel this powerful." The Edge won his volley and overhead tests, most clearly on the kick smash. From the back of the court he still preferred the standard Neuron 02, which moved more easily and stayed more controllable at high pace.

Hotel Palas sums it up in one word: "reliable." Control of pace at the net is its best feature for him, and blocks rarely come off faster than expected. In his view it suits players who keep up the pressure through the point more than pure finishers.

The Padel School felt "a bit more spring" than on the standard Neuron 02, with good precision still there, which makes it a fit for aggressive players too.

Hardness is where the testers split. Zona de Pádel calls both new Neurons very demanding and says that "anyone looking for extreme hardness has the Edge." Most other testers put it at medium-hard. Balance divides them less: Probando Palas and Dani 13 feel a medium-high balance, while Hotel Palas measured 25.8 cm on his unit and found it even rather than head-heavy.

How it plays..

Our take: Bowe's summary

Fast balls bring out the best in the Edge. The dry face gives clear feedback and firm hits hold their line, so it is a precise racket to attack with. What you give up is agility: the geometric head and higher balance make it slower to reset than the teardrop Neuron 02, and the mild 3D texture means spin comes from your swing, not the surface. Players who put placement and quick hands ahead of finishing power will get on better with the standard Neuron 02.

Defense

From the back the Edge asks for work. At slow and medium pace the dry face gives little back, so you have to lengthen your stroke to find depth, and balls hit off-centre drop short. It improves as the rally speeds up: Dani 13 found it a touch livelier at high pace, adding ball speed without costing control. Contact feels solid and stable, but in tight spots it moves slower than the standard Neuron 02.

Attack

Overhead is where it pulls away from the standard Neuron 02. Víboras and bandejas pick up pace as soon as you accelerate, and several testers rank it among Bullpadel's most powerful 2026 rackets. That power builds with your swing: the harder and cleaner you hit, the more comes back. Flat smashes come easiest. Smashes out of the court need a fast, full swing and some wrist to bring the head through.

Netplay

Most testers name the net as one of its strongest areas. Volleys go deep, and hard balls rarely rebound further than you want, so blocks are predictable. Meet the ball in front: leave the head behind and volleys float. A passive block off a hard bajada can land short if you miss the centre. The 3D texture is subtle, but Probando Palas found it still puts good spin on the ball.

Our Advice for New Players

Not a beginner racket. The dry, firm face gives almost no free depth and punishes off-centre hits. A softer, rounder racket will help a new player far more.

Our Advice for Intermediate Players

Only for strong intermediates who already swing fully and play firm. If you still rely on the racket to push the ball deep, or often miss the centre, the Edge will feel like hard work. The standard Neuron 02 is easier to handle, though no softer.

Competitive level

This is who it is built for. Advanced players on either side who lengthen their strokes and like to press from the net get controlled pace, stable volleys and a smash that rewards clean technique. Right-side players who mostly defend and build points may prefer the lower balance of the standard version.

How It Compares

How it compares

Bullpadel Neuron 02 2026: the same carbon, foam and firm touch, with a teardrop-style head and a lower balance of about 25.5 cm. It moves faster and stays more controllable at high pace from the back. Pick it if you win points with placement and defence; the Edge makes more sense if you want more at the net and overhead.

Bullpadel XPLO 2026: Martín Di Nenno's power racket. Dani 13 found the two similarly firm at first, but the XPLO softened sooner with use. After that he rated the Edge as the one with more pace for the same control. Both need a clean, full swing to give their best.
