8.3BULLPADEL Neuron 02 Edge 2026
Bullpadel · 2026
Fast víboras and bandejas that stay on line
Little free depth at slow pace
8.2At the net and overhead the Edge sends the ball through with pace while the firm face keeps it on line. It suits advanced right-side attackers who hit cleanly and swing through. Players who need help with depth from the back or forgiveness on mishits should look elsewhere, and the 2027 version is firmer still.

Left-handed right-side player with an attacking, finishing game
Always overperforms in the warm-up, always underperforms in the match. Such is life.
The Neuron 02 Edge 2027 is Federico Chingotto's match racket and the attacking model in Bullpadel's Neuron line. The standard Neuron 02 is the control-leaning hybrid. The Edge has a wider, geometric diamond head and a higher balance, around 26 cm, so it adds punch without giving up the line's focus on precision.
Most of the 2027 update is cosmetic, with one exception. The mould, the 3K carbon faces, the faceted PrismLock frame and the textured face all carry over from 2026, and the new look puts a different colour on each face. Inside, Bullpadel swaps the MultiEVA core of the 2026 model for a new HardEVA, which its own catalogue ranks as the hardest rubber in the range. Expect the same shape and balance with an even firmer, more direct response. At a list price of about €340, it sits at the top of Bullpadel's range.
What the Reviewers Say
The 2027 model has only been in shops since early September, so hands-on coverage is still thin. The sources below fall into two groups: first impressions of the 2027 version, and full court tests of the 2026 version, which uses the same mould and frame.
MoreEverythingPadel tested the whole 2027 range and describes the Edge on court as "firm and powerful, and very good on the volleys and the overheads", stiffer than the Hack and the Vertex. He also admits the two Neurons did not stand out much for him next to the rest of the line. Dani 13 went through the 2027 catalogue, spotted the new core straight away and predicted it is "probably the hardest racket Bullpadel makes this year". At the launch filmed by Hotel Palas, Chingotto said his racket had become "a bit more aggressive without losing that precision". Zona de Padel's guide to the 2027 collection says the Edge "brings the Neuron family concept into a more offensive territory".
The longer tests of the 2026 version show what the shape does on court. Probando Palas compared it with the standard Neuron 02 and did not expect it to "feel so powerful": the Edge won clearly at the net and overhead, while the standard model was easier to handle from the back. Dani 13 called it his favourite Bullpadel of 2026 and liked it most on the víbora and bandeja, but warned that "if you hit outside the sweet spot, the ball stays much shorter". He also says you need solid technique to get power out of it.
Taken together, the reviewers describe a precise attacking racket that pays back clean, committed contact. Opinions still differ on the firmer 2027 core. Bullpadel's head of design says it gives a little more exit when you accelerate, while Dani 13 wants to check whether it costs ball output on slow shots. Nobody has published a full court test of the 2027 core yet.
How it plays..
The higher balance and firm face put real weight behind a forehand volley or a flat smash when the swing is committed, and hard-hit balls hold their line instead of jumping off the face. The cost shows up in defence. The 2027 core makes it even less generous on slow, stretched balls, so right-side players who spend long spells behind the service line will notice that before they notice the extra punch.
Defense
From the back it is manageable but gives little help. Dani 13 found the balance a touch higher than on Bullpadel's hybrid models, and both he and Probando Palas say you need a long, full swing to get depth at medium pace. Mishits in defence drop short. The harder 2027 core is unlikely to change that, so lobs and resets need clean contact.
Attack
Attack is where the Edge is strongest. Probando Palas found it clearly more powerful than the standard Neuron 02 on the kick smash, and Dani 13 rated it among the most powerful Bullpadels of 2026 on the flat smash. The power comes from racket-head speed, not from rebound, so it rewards a fast arm and good technique more than raw strength. Smashing the ball out over the side fence (por tres) takes a clean, fast swing.
Netplay
Reviewers agree the net and the middle of the court are its best zones. The balance lets you accelerate the víbora and bandeja without the racket feeling heavy, and the textured 3K face grips the ball well. Fast volleys need early, clean contact in front of the body. Late volleys, or blocks that miss the centre, can float or land short.
Our Advice for New Players
Beginners get very little help here. The hard feel, higher balance and modest sweet spot punish mishits, and the price is hard to justify at this stage. A softer, rounder racket will build your game faster.
Our Advice for Intermediate Players
Only strong intermediates with a sound overhead and a full swing should consider it. If you rely on the racket for depth from the back, the Neuron 02 or a Comfort model suits you better. Bullpadel also makes a Neuron 02 Edge Comfort with a softer build for this group.
Competitive level
Advanced and competition players who attack, finish at the net and hit the ball cleanly are the target. If you liked the 2026 Edge but wanted a firmer, more direct response, the 2027 is the natural step. If the 2026 already felt hard enough, try the new one before you buy.

Recommended for
Advanced and competition players, mostly on the right side, who finish at the net with volleys, víboras and flat smashes and generate their own pace. Not for intermediates or players who rely on the racket for depth in defence.
