Comparing padel and tennis grip, swing, and strategy differences.

PadelJo
🏆 #1 Takeaway - How does padel technique differ from tennis technique?
Padel technique, particularly for forehand and backhand, requires a shorter swing and often utilizes a continental grip to keep the ball low and short, contrasting with tennis's deeper swings and varied grips for topspin and depth.

What Your Guru Thinks

Ah, this is quite useful if you are transitioning from tennis or have a tennis background. The coaches, Sven and Sergio Gomez, clearly explain how the fundamental grip and swing mechanics differ between the two sports. Understanding why the shorter, lower swing and the continental grip are so crucial in padel, compared to the deeper, more upward swing in tennis, is key. They also touch upon how the strategy for putting pressure on your opponents changes completely.

PADEL FOREHAND/BH VS TENNIS FOREHAND/BH #PADELTIPS13 - W/SERGIO GOMEZ!

Description

There a big difference between the tennis and padel technique! If you are coming from tennis than this is very important to know! You can start your improvement right now! Let's get started!

HOLA! Welcome back to our newest video! How are you doing?

To be honest it was a little bit of a strange week here in Marbella. Because of the lockdown rules in the UK, it seems to be pretty quiet here. Many people cancelled their holiday! The most important thing is that we are all safe and healthy! It seems to be going better now in the south of Spain!

This week it was very, very, very hot here in Marbella. When we were recording the video it was 37 degrees and yesterday it was 41 degrees! So we had to spend most of our time in the pool! That is not bad to be honest, but imagine playing a tournament with that heat! There were some padel clubs that organized a tournament where you had to play in the night! Great idea!

Special guest of this video is Sergio Gomez! He is the owner of tennis y padel club de bel air! Former number 22 in Spain, he played at high ATP level and has Grandslam experience. And he also plays padel at a good level. Perfect person to create this comparison video with.
