Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0 20268.3

Conclusion

At full pace it blocks like a wall and turns víboras and flat smashes into winners, yet it moves easily for 370g. Best for advanced players who swing fast from either side. At medium tempo the hard core needs a longer swing and punishes mis-hits, so patient point builders will do better with the Hyper Pro 2.0.

The Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0 2026 is the firmest racket in Oxdog's teardrop Hyper family. The Swedish brand started out making floorball sticks, and in each of its padel lines the Plus model gets the hardest core and the most weight in the head. Here that means a hard EVA core, a sandy HES-Carbon face and a listed 370g, with an 8g plate in the handle that you can remove to push the balance higher. Compared with the standard Hyper Pro 2.0 it is 5g heavier and swaps the Medium+ EVA for the hard foam, so it feels drier and more solid on contact.

Oxdog lists the balance as high, but with the plate fitted reviewers measured it at about 26cm, so it plays closer to neutral than the label suggests. Oxdog also lists the same weight, hard core and sandy face as on the 2025 Hyper Pro+ 2.0, which makes this a carry-over rather than a redesign. The list price went up from €309 to €319, though discount codes bring it under €290.

What the Reviewers Say

What the reviewers say

Most testers come away impressed, and the thing that surprises them is how easily a 370g racket moves. The reviewer at PADELREVIEW ENG ranks it among the best rackets he has tested in recent years and says that “despite being heavy, it feels remarkably maneuverable.” He found lobs easier than he expects from a hard racket and compared its precision to the Babolat Counter Viper, with a bit more forgiveness.

Probando Palas tested it head to head with the standard Hyper Pro 2026 and is more measured. He puts the feel just above medium-hard and says that at medium pace it needs a longer swing, with a sweet spot that feels slightly smaller than the Hyper Pro's and a response that changes on off-centre hits. When you accelerate it turns more linear and more powerful, and one shot stands out for him: the víbora “may be the Hyper Pro Plus 2026's strongest point, if not the very best.” From the back of the court he would still take the standard Hyper Pro.

In the 2026 collection test filmed by the Swedish retailer Ongoal together with Oxdog, Swedish top-ten player Willy Släryd found it close to his own Hyper racket but harder. The ball flies more and it is a little harder to control in defence, but he got “much better push on the smash than I usually have.” On Padel Review, the Italian sister channel of PADELREVIEW ENG, co-tester Alvin placed it slightly more on the right side “because it's a very technical racket,” while his colleague saw it working from either side.

PadelVerdict's written review lands on the same trade-off. Power and stability score high and comfort scores lowest, and for beginners and arm-sensitive players “comfort at 6.6 is the number that ends the conversation.”

How it plays..

Our take: Lars's summary

The Hyper Pro+ 2.0 2026 is at its best at high pace, where blocks feel solid, the víbora grips and flat smashes finish points. At medium tempo the hard core gives less free depth, so slow rally balls and deep resets off the back glass need a fuller swing, and a mis-hit costs more than on the standard Hyper Pro. Right-side players who build points patiently will likely find the Hyper Pro 2.0 2026 easier to live with. Anyone who wants the same teardrop with more weight behind the overhead should take the Plus.

Defense

Back of the court

In defence it is steadier than its hardness suggests. PADELREVIEW ENG got lob depth without much effort, but Probando Palas and Willy Släryd both found it less comfortable at medium pace, where you have to lengthen the swing to reach the back of the court and the firm response gives a little less control on rushed balls. With clean technique it defends reliably. Late or off-centre contact gets punished more than on Oxdog's softer models.

Attack

On the attack

This is where the extra 5g and the hard foam earn their place. Flat smashes come off heavy, and the sandy face bites on víboras. Probando Palas felt it pull clearly ahead of the Hyper Pro on full-power flat smashes. The one weaker spot is the smash out over the side wall (por 3), where the weight in the head makes the fast wrist action a bit harder and a lighter racket gets there more easily.

Netplay

At the net

At the net it is very stable. PADELREVIEW ENG compared blocking with it to hitting against a wall, and Probando Palas preferred the Plus to the Hyper Pro for volleys at high pace because it stays linear and the sandy face adds grip. At medium tempo it needs more wrist than the Hyper Pro. For an easy, deep bandeja the softer sibling is more comfortable, although the Plus gives more precision when you commit to the shot. The 13cm handle adds leverage on volleys.

Our Advice for New Players

Not a beginner racket. The hard core, 370g and a sweet spot that punishes off-centre contact make it tiring and unforgiving while your technique is still developing. A softer, more forgiving model such as Oxdog's Hyper Tour X 2.0 2026 is a better place to start.

Our Advice for Intermediate Players

Only for strong intermediates with clean contact and a conditioned arm. If most of your points are played at medium pace, the standard Hyper Pro 2.0 2026 gives you more free power and a friendlier sweet spot for about the same money.

Competitive level

This is who it is built for. Advanced players who hit hard, finish at the net and still want a teardrop that can defend will get the most out of it. Left-side attackers will enjoy the overheads, and technical right-side players who accelerate through the ball can use the control and the víbora.

How It Compares

How it compares

  • Oxdog Hyper Pro 2.0 2026: the same teardrop mould, 5g lighter, with a Medium+ EVA core. It gives easier power at medium pace, a friendlier sweet spot and quicker handling. Pick it if you build points; pick the Plus if you play fast and want more from the smash and the víbora.
  • Babolat Counter Viper 2026: the racket PADELREVIEW ENG kept coming back to. Both are hard, precise and close to 370g, but the Counter Viper is a round control frame and feels drier at the net. Overhead, the Hyper Pro+ is the more natural attacker.
  • Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0 2025: last season's version with the same weight, core and sandy face. If you find it discounted, there is little on paper to justify paying more for the 2026.
