Oxdog Hyper Tour X 2.0 20268.2

Conclusion

From the back it gives easy depth at medium pace, with a sweet spot reviewers rave about, so it suits intermediate to advanced all-court players who build points. Players who end rallies with flat power smashes should look higher up the Hyper line: the smooth face and medium balance cost spin and top-end punch.

Oxdog is the Swedish floorball brand that moved into padel, and it splits its range into three shapes: Pure (hybrid), Hyper (teardrop) and Ultimate (diamond). The Hyper Tour X 2.0 2026 is the all-rounder of the teardrop family. It sits below the firmer Hyper Pro and Pro Plus at an official €249, and Probando Palas calls the Tour X models Oxdog's mid-range. It takes over from last year's Hyper Tour 2.0 and pairs HES Carbon 8K faces with a medium EVA core, a smooth matte finish and the removable 8g weight in the cap that lets you move the balance. It is meant to be a comfortable, lively racket that runs the rally from the back and can still hit a winner without a big swing.

What the Reviewers Say

What the reviewers say

Every source praises the sweet spot and how quickly this racket moves. Probando Palas tested it alongside the Ultimate Tour X and was clear about the sweet spot: "it is absolutely brilliant." His unit weighed 362g with the weight plate fitted, with a 258mm balance, and he found it gives more ball exit than the Hyper Pro while feeling more comfortable, especially when you build the point from the baseline. French shop Extreme Padel measured before going on court: 355.7g, a 261mm balance, 65 RA stiffness and a lower swingweight than the round Pure Tour X. On court they rated it the most complete of the three Tour X models: "It really is a maneuverable Swiss army knife," sharp on the víbora and easy at the volley. Racketlife, the video channel of Danish retailer Padellife, sees it as a racket "for players getting their first really good carbon racket," still forgiving but with good power transfer. PadelZoom's scorecard backs this up, with 9.0 for ball exit and sweet spot but 7.5 for power.

The reviewers split on the top end. Probando Palas found the smooth face gives little grip on the bandeja and víbora, and at a high pace at the net the lively feel lets the ball float a little on blocks. He also felt flat power smashes come up short, because neither the shape nor the balance is built for them. Extreme Padel was more generous overhead, rating kick and flat smashes as very good and noting a real gain in power once the weight plate comes out. Both would have liked a sandy face.

How it plays..

Our take: Christoph's summary

The Hyper Tour X is at its best while a point is still being built. The sweet spot and quick handling make returns and drives from the right side easy to place, but a committed, flat overhead gets less back from the medium balance than it puts in. Taking out the 8g plate moves weight to the head and is the first thing to try for more finishing power. A firm-hitting attacker who wants more than that is better off in the Hyper Pro.

Defense

Defense: The back of the court is where this racket does its best work. Probando Palas needed little wrist movement to get good length, the ball comes off well at low and medium pace, and a balance just under 260mm keeps it quick when you are pushed deep. Extreme Padel found the same very good touch, with a slightly firmer, more reactive response than the round Pure Tour X and no loss of tolerance. Only in fast exchanges does the lively face start to send the ball a little long.

Attack

Offense: Overheads split the reviewers. Probando Palas got good depth on the bandeja without a long swing, and the topspin smash to the fence works well because the racket is easy to move. The flat power smash is the weak point in his test: the ball sinks into the face and the racket cannot add the extra pace of a head-heavy model. Extreme Padel rated kick and flat smashes as very good and saw a real power gain with the 8g plate removed. For an all-rounder the overhead is capable, but a head-heavy diamond ends points with less effort.

Netplay

Net play: At medium pace the volleys are easy, with good depth, good feel and a racket that moves quickly. Extreme Padel found holding, sliced and punched volleys all precise. The catch comes on fast blocks. Probando Palas set his ball machine to fire at him and found the reactive face and missing grit let the ball float, so you need a precise hand. Spin on the bandeja and víbora needs an active wrist, because the smooth face gives little help.

Our Advice for New Players

At €249 this is not a first racket for a true beginner, but it is an easy step up. Racketlife aims it at players buying their first proper carbon racket, and the large sweet spot forgives off-center hits. A beginner who plays several times a week and wants something to grow into will manage it. An occasional player gets more value from a cheaper, softer model.

Our Advice for Intermediate Players

This is the core audience. The sweet spot, easy depth from the back and quick handling help an improving player control the rally, and the removable weight lets you raise the balance as your overhead gets better. Players who like to build the point from either side will feel at home with it.

Competitive level

Advanced all-court players who win on placement will get a lot from it, and Extreme Padel sees its potential reaching up to expert level. Advanced attackers, especially left-side finishers, will miss grit on the face and top-end power on flat smashes. The sandy Ultimate Tour X or the Hyper Pro suits that game better.

How It Compares

How it compares

The closest alternative is its sister racket, the Oxdog Ultimate Tour X 2026. Probando Palas tested them side by side: the diamond Ultimate has a sandy face, a higher balance and clearly more power overhead, while the Hyper Tour X has the bigger sweet spot and is the stronger racket from the back. Pick the Ultimate if you finish points at the net, the Hyper if you build them. Owners of the Oxdog Hyper Tour 2.0 2025 will recognize the character, a smooth-faced, mid-balanced teardrop built for control and comfort, so the Tour X reads as an update of that racket rather than a change of course.

Perfect For

Recommended for

Intermediate to advanced all-court players, on either side, who want a forgiving teardrop that controls the rally and still attacks when a lob drops short. Not the pick for players who end points with flat smashes.
