Nox Pro Cup Hard by Agustín Tapia 2027

What to expect

On paper this is a control racket: round, large sweet spot, light in the head and with a hard core that returns pace rather than adds it. It should suit consistent players who place the ball. Players who want easy power from the back, or who have a sensitive elbow, should look at the Soft version.

The Pro Cup is one of the longest-running moulds in the Nox range, and for 2027 it again carries Agustín Tapia's name. This Hard version pairs the round head with a hard EVA core and a fibreglass face, so it sits in the mid-price part of the line, well below the carbon AT10 models.

The specs point to a forgiving, easy-to-swing control racket with a firm response. Retail listings give the weight as 360 to 375 grams, while our catalogue first listed 368g; expect a unit somewhere in that range.

What the Brand Says

Nox and its retailers describe the Pro Cup Hard 2027 as a round racket with a Silver Fiberglass face (fibreglass with an aluminium finish) and a hard HR3 EVA core. Retailer PadelShop says the face sits between carbon and standard fibreglass in stiffness, and that the racket gives the Pro Cup character with more punch.

PadelShop also published its own bench measurements: hardness 64 on its 50 to 75 scale (hard) and a swingweight of 148, which it calls clearly below average and quick to swing. It names advanced players who value control and precision as the target, and warns that the hard core passes more vibration to the arm.

Nox presented the racket as part of its 2027 collection. At the time of writing we found no full hands-on video review of this exact model.

How It Compares

Against the 2026 AT10 Pro Cup Hard, the recipe looks familiar on paper: same round mould, fibreglass face, hard core, mid-range price. The obvious sibling is the 2027 Pro Cup Soft, which keeps the shape but softens the core for more ball exit at slow pace and more comfort. Players who want real attacking leverage should look up the range to the AT10 Genius models, which use carbon and a more head-heavy build.

Pros & Cons

Strengths

  • Round shape with a large, centred sweet spot
  • Low swingweight should make it quick at the net
  • Hard core should give precise placement
  • Mid-range price for a Tapia signature racket

Considerations

  • Hard core will likely send more vibration to the arm
  • Fibreglass and a round head offer little free power on the smash
