8.1Dunlop Galactica Pro 2023
Dunlop · 2023
Clean, precise feedback on contact
370 grams sitting high tires the arm
8.3Stable at the back and precise on the vibora, with enough weight behind the head to finish points. It suits advanced all-court players who want control first. Developing players should look elsewhere: off-centre hits lose accuracy and the firm feel gives little help.

Developing all-court player focused on consistency and comfort
Always gets an "A" for effort from the coach. That tells you enough about his technique.
The Galactica Pro 2025 is the top model of Dunlop's Galactica line, the racket Juani Mieres made known on tour. The big change this year is the shape: the 2024 version was a diamond, the 2025 model is a teardrop. Dunlop kept the 16K carbon faces and the rough finish, so the idea is a racket that keeps most of its punch but is easier to aim.
It sits in the middle of Dunlop's pro range. The FX Pro is the out-and-out power option; the Galactica Pro is the one for players who want to play every shot. Launched at €280, it now often sells for well under €150, which changes the value picture a lot.
What the Reviewers Say
The reviewers agree on the core: stability and control first, with more power than the shape suggests.
Where they differ is the feel. Extreme Padel calls it a firm, rigid racket that needs good technique. Padelspeed found it easy to play at slow pace. The lab numbers support the firmer reading.
The Galactica Pro 2025 does what the teardrop shape promises: it stays calm under pressure and puts the ball where you aim. The catch is the sweet spot. It rewards a clean, centred contact and gives little back when you miss it, so it is a better racket for a settled technique than for one still being built.
How it plays..
At around 367g with the weight slightly toward the head, it feels solid rather than light. Reviewers still found it quick in the hand, because the balance is not extreme. The feel is firm: you get a clear, direct response on good contact and a harsher one on mishits.
Defense
This is where it stands out. Total Padel had fewer errors in defence than with the FX Pro, and Extreme Padel liked the feel on low balls. Lobs need a full upward swing because the head weight does not do the work for you.
Attack
The high swing weight puts real mass behind the vibora and bandeja. Extreme Padel could keep the vibora close to the glass while hitting it hard. For flat smashes out of the court, the FX Pro and other diamonds give more.
Netplay
Stable on blocks and quick enough for fast exchanges. Padelspeed placed volleys easily, and the rough face helps the ball die after the bounce.
Our Advice for New Players
Not a racket for beginners. The firm feel and the demanding sweet spot make learning harder.
Our Advice for Intermediate Players
Intermediate players with a consistent contact can move up to it, but the Galactica Lite or a softer round racket is kinder if your technique still varies.
Competitive level
Advanced all-court and control players on either side get the most from it: stable defence, precise placement and enough weight to finish from the overhead.
