8.3Dunlop Galactica Pro 2025
Dunlop · 2025
Very stable on blocks and defence
Demanding sweet spot on off-centre hits
8Quick in defence and precise at the net, with a rough face that puts real spin on the víbora. It suits right-side and point-building players at intermediate to advanced level. Players who finish with flat, heavy smashes should pick the Galactica Pro, and the modest sweet spot punishes off-centre hits.

Left-handed right-side player with an attacking, finishing game
Always overperforms in the warm-up, always underperforms in the match. Such is life.
The Galactica Pro LS 2025 sits in the middle of Dunlop's 2025 Galactica line, between the heavier Galactica Pro and the lighter Galactica Lite. Dunlop moved the whole line to a 16K carbon face this year and kept the rough Extra Grip finish, the Pro EVA core and the Tri-Max reinforcement at the throat.
What sets the LS apart from the standard Pro is weight and balance. At around 365g with an even balance, it is roughly 5g lighter than the Pro and sits less of that weight in the head. The result is a teardrop that plays closer to a control racket than its name suggests. It launched at about €250, and as a 2025 model it now sells well below that at many retailers.
What the Reviewers Say
Coverage of the LS is thinner than for the flagship Pro, but the players who use it agree on the main point: it is a control racket that still has power when you find the middle of the face.
Padelactico uses the Galactica Pro LS as his own racket and tested it on court against Dunlop's newer models. He found it quick in defence and precise at the net, and said the volleys go "to the opponent's feet or the side glass" with ease. He also got plenty of spin on the víbora. His one reservation is the sweet spot: "The sweet spot isn't massive," he said, so it is a bit harder to use than some rackets, but a clean smash flies.
Aimee Gibson, the GB number one and a Dunlop player, chose the Pro LS over the heavier Pro. In a short interview for pdhsports she explained that she wanted something lighter and more evenly balanced, and that she can "create power when I want". She also rated the grippy face for putting spin on volleys and felt the frame gave her control when defending off the glass. She found the sweet spot comfortable, which is a softer view than Padelactico's.
Padelspeed's review of the 2025 Galactica range places the LS as the all-round option in the line. It calls it a racket that gives "a strong mix of power, control, and spin without feeling too demanding", and keeps the attacking role for the heavier, head-heavy Galactica Pro.
The reviewers agree on control, spin and handling. They differ on how forgiving the face is, and that is the point to test before you buy.
How it plays..
The LS is the Galactica for players who build points. The even balance makes it fast in defence and at the net, and the rough face gives real bite on the víbora. The trade-off shows on flat, committed smashes: with less mass in the head, it does not carry the ball through like the Galactica Pro does. Players who close points with a weighted overhead should look at the Pro. Players who finish with placement and spin will get more from the LS.
Defense
Defence is where the LS feels most at home. The even balance lets you get the racket into position quickly in the corners and off the back glass, and Aimee Gibson points to the control it gives when defending with the glass. Lobs and slow chiquitas are easy to place.
Attack
In attack it has more power than the balance suggests, but it needs a clean hit. Padelactico got smashes out of the court when he found the sweet spot, and admits that off-centre contact costs pace. The rough face helps most on the víbora and on spin-heavy overheads rather than on flat power.
Netplay
At the net the racket is quick and precise. Volleys go where you aim them, and the textured face gives you control over spin on blocks and bandejas. Faster exchanges suit it well because the head never feels slow to react.
Our Advice for New Players
Beginners are better served by a softer racket with a bigger sweet spot. The LS is not heavy, but its sweet spot rewards clean contact, and the price at launch was high for a first racket. At current clearance prices it is more tempting, but a round, softer model will help more in the first year.
Our Advice for Intermediate Players
Intermediate players with sound technique can use it well, especially on the right side. The quick handling and control help build points, and Padelactico suggests it for intermediate players too. Expect some misses on off-centre hits while you get used to the sweet spot.
Competitive level
Advanced players who play on the right, or who win points with placement and spin, will get the most from it. Left-side players who finish with flat, heavy smashes will likely want the extra head weight of the Galactica Pro.
How It Compares
The Dunlop Galactica Pro 2025 uses the same 16K face and core, but it is heavier and carries more weight in the head. Pick the Pro if you play on the left and want more drive on your overheads. Pick the LS if you want faster handling and more control.
The Dunlop Galactica Lite 2025 drops to about 350g. It is the easier racket to swing for players who want the Galactica feel with less load on the arm, and the LS gives a little more stability against heavy balls.
