Both dedicated Icon 26 reviews land on the same read: a firm, attack-shaped racket that needs a full swing to pay off. Probando Palas measured the review unit at 372g and called the touch medio duro (medium-hard), and was surprised by how manageable it felt once accelerated: "It gives more ball output at medium and low rhythms than you'd expect, once you move your hand a little the ball comes out well without needing much effort." AnalistasPadel rated the touch closer to full hard and scored it 93/100 for power against 77/100 for maneuverability, summing it up as a racket for players who want zero give in the ball: "It's a racket that requires good technical precision, you don't feel much of the ball, so it's better suited to players who already have an advanced or professional level, who want the ball to leave right at the moment of contact." Both agreed the 3D-textured face reads as more visual than functional and that the racket comes alive in the attack: smash, bandeja and vibora all drew praise, with the vibora singled out as a particular strength.

As a right-side player who builds points patiently, this is not the racket that helps you do that: it does not add pace to a slow, controlled rally ball, it only responds once you commit to the shot. What it does reward is exactly what both reviewers found, real punch on the smash and vibora when you finish the point rather than construct it. Worth knowing before you buy: this racket asks you to bring your own rhythm, it will not manufacture one for you.

Defense is the racket's weak zone. At slow and medium rhythms from the back of the court both reviewers needed to accelerate the swing manually to get any real ball output, and the heavy, head-heavy build does not help on rushed, defensive blocks. It is workable, not forgiving.

Offense is where the Icon 26 earns its keep. Both reviewers rated the smash and overhead game highly, the firm face and high balance turn a full swing into a heavy, penetrating shot, and AnalistasPadel's 93/100 power score was the highest of any parameter they tested on it.

At net, blocked volleys at medium pace felt controlled and deep for both reviewers, with the 3D-textured face adding real effect on the ball. Fast, high-pace blocking exchanges ask more of the arm since the racket stays reactive rather than absorbing pace for you. Bandeja and especially vibora were the standout shots for both testers.

How it compares

For a similarly heavy, attack-first diamond with a touch more forgiveness on off-center hits, look at the Bullpadel Hack 04 26: it swings faster and carries a bigger sweet spot, but shares the same all-in, committed-swing character. If you want comparable power with noticeably better defense and control, the Bullpadel Vertex 04 2025 trades a little top-end power for a racket that helps out more at slower rhythms.
