Fun Padel Shop went through it hit by hit and landed on the phrase most reviews circle back to: "this is more controlled aggression than an explosive all or nothing feeling, you swing and the ball travels fast but you still feel like you are guiding it." They also found the back of the court kinder than expected: "in defence it is more forgiving than you might expect from a diamond."

Padelmesh breaks the racket down zone by zone and puts the ceiling at the smash. The stiff 18K face and high balance give "a heavy, direct finishing hit on flat smashes", and "late or poorly prepared contact receives no rescue from the frame."

PadelVerdict scores it and then says the quiet part out loud: comfort is the lowest number in the profile, "the number that defines every other decision this racket makes", while stability is the highest at 8.7.

Guido De Francesco at Zona de Padel put twelve hours on it against the Babolat Viper JL and called it "the queen of pure power, with a very dry, direct strike." He names the cost just as plainly: "it demands technique in defence, the sweet spot is not that wide, and it can feel hard on a sensitive arm."

Padelful adds the one real caveat, about effort rather than quality. The racket rewards intent, but "when the rally goes long or I arrive late, it reminds me straight away that it was not built to give me anything for free."

Where they disagree: the English reviews read the new drilling pattern as a genuine step up in forgiveness, while the Spanish testers still flag the sweet spot as the weak number. Both can be true. The centre is wider than on a Hack 03. The edges are not.

Our take: Lars's summary

The Hack 04 26 finishes points and gives very little help building them. It returns exactly what goes into it: decide early, swing through, and the ball leaves fast and flat. Arrive a fraction late and the frame offers nothing back. Point builders on the right side should note how little help there is on a defensive lob off the back glass, which is the shot that keeps a patient rally alive. Worth the money for a game that ends points at the net, hard to justify for one that wins by outlasting people.

Blocks are the strong part of the back court. The frame does not twist when a hard ball arrives, so a firm hand and a still arm send back a clean, deep block. The softer inner EVA layer helps on slower contacts, and lifting a lob is easier than on older Hacks. Below that it gets harder. Stretched balls picked up near the bottom of the face lose depth and direction quickly, and a slow defensive touch asks for your feet rather than your racket.

The smash is the reason to buy it. A firm face, weight sitting high and a fast swing arc add up to a flat finishing hit that arrives heavy, and the por tres picks up real authority when the arm accelerates cleanly. The rough surface bites enough to shape a kick smash instead of only flattening it. The condition is timing. A rushed or late overhead gets no help at all, and long matches ask more of the arm and shoulder than a hybrid would.

At the net the stability is obvious. Volleys carry weight, the face stays square against pace, and a punch volley reaches the back wall without an oversized swing. The bandeja travels tense and deep, and the vibora bites hard with a direct, nasty trajectory. It is not the quickest racket in a fast hands exchange, and it does not reward soft improvisation. As a tool to press forward and pin opponents back, it is the strongest thing in the Bullpadel 2026 range.

How it compares

Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid 2026 is the same season and the same core, with a wider head and a balance around 25 cm. It is quicker in the hand and easier to find mid rally, and it gives up smash ceiling to get there. Pick the Hybrid if you build points and counterattack, pick the standard Hack if you end them overhead.

Bullpadel Hack 04 2025 Paquito Navarro is still worth buying at a discount. It is the steadier, more planted version of the same idea. Choose the 2025 for a solid, heavy feel at full power, the 2026 if you want the frame to move faster through the air.
