Bullpadel Ionic Power 258.1

Conclusion

Bandejas, víboras and lobs come off the Ionic Power 25 with little effort, and it plays kinder from the back than most diamonds. It suits intermediate attackers on the left who want a first diamond at a mid-range price. Players who rely on firm blocks and precise volleys should look elsewhere, since the ball can fly long at high pace.

The Bullpadel Ionic Power 25 is the attacking model in Bullpadel's mid-priced Ionic line, released as Pablo Cardona's racket for the 2025 season. It lists at about €180, and shops have sold it for roughly €125 to €145. On paper it is built for hard hitters: a diamond with a high balance at 365 to 375 grams. The carbon and fiberglass faces and the dual-density core take the edge off that profile, and reviewers describe a medium feel that is easier on the arm than the shape suggests. Not much changed from 2024. Reviewers report the same core and feel, a new cosmetic, and a 3D texture that sits a little lower on the face.

What the Reviewers Say

What the reviewers say

PADELREVIEW ENG went in expecting smashes and came out talking about lobs: "For a racket called Power, you don't expect lobs like this." Their unit weighed 365 grams with a balance of about 26 cm, and they found it easier to move than expected, with a generous sweet spot for a diamond. They scored the flat smash 9 out of 10 but spin only 6.5, and warned that the racket is not built for precision: swing too hard and the ball flies.

Probando Palas measured 369 grams with an overgrip and a 270 mm balance, and called the feel medium, leaning slightly firm. He liked how easily it moves the ball from the back without loading the arm, and rated the víbora and the rulo highly. His reservation was the hard, flat smash, where the ball sinks into the face, more so in summer heat. On value he was direct: "For what it costs, it may be the best racket in the attacking format."

AnalistasPadel expected a harder frame and found a medium touch with good ball output at low pace. The head weight was noticeable, yet overheads were the highlight: "The bandeja and the víbora are the shots this racket does best." On slow volleys he had to meet the ball early, or it popped up.

PADELARTE was the most positive on handling, calling it light and not head-heavy at all for an attacking racket, and scored its defence 9 out of 10. The smash was his complaint: "On the smash you have to put in a lot of force, and that may be its weakest point." He still put it at 8 to 9 overall and called the value excellent.

The consensus: a diamond that is kinder from the back than it looks, with deep lobs and strong bandejas and víboras, priced below Bullpadel's pro line. Reviewers split on two points. PADELARTE and PADELREVIEW ENG found it easy to move, while AnalistasPadel felt the head weight. On the flat smash, PADELREVIEW ENG rated it highly, while Probando Palas and PADELARTE felt the medium response swallow part of a hard, flat hit.

How it plays..

Our take: Lars's summary

The Ionic Power 25 gives more to a patient player than its name suggests. The deep, easy lob is a real tool for pushing opponents off the net and buying time, and the medium feel stays comfortable through long rallies. The catch is control at pace: firm blocks and fast volleys can fly long, and the high balance makes quick exchanges at the net harder work. Right-side players who build points should compare it with the Ionic Control, because the Power is at its best in the hands of the partner who finishes them.

Defense

After the overhead, this is where the racket does best. Reviewers agree the lob goes deep with a short swing, and there is enough ball output to get out of trouble off the back glass. PADELREVIEW ENG scored its lobs 9 out of 10 and PADELARTE gave defence the same mark. The limit is precision. At high pace the ball can leave the face faster than you intend, so blocking hard smashes asks for a soft hand.

Attack

Bandejas, víboras and rulos are the strong shots. The high balance carries the head through the ball, and the face adds pace without a big swing. The flat smash splits opinion: PADELREVIEW ENG found plenty of pop, while Probando Palas and PADELARTE felt the ball sink into the face on a hard hit and needed more effort to finish the point. Spin is decent at medium pace but drops on fast balls, since the 3D texture is lower than before.

Netplay

Volleys travel deep without much effort, and Probando Palas rated the slice and the drop volley well. The risk mirrors the back of the court. A firm punch volley can fly, and blocks against big hitters can jump off the face if the contact is not clean, so PADELREVIEW ENG recommends a flatter, measured game at the net. The head weight also shows in fast reflex exchanges.

Our Advice for New Players

Not the right place to start. The weight, the high balance and the lively ball output reward a stable swing. A round or teardrop racket with a lower balance is easier to learn with.

Our Advice for Intermediate Players

The best fit. If you already attack from the service line and want a first diamond without a hard, punishing feel, it gives you easy power and a forgiving sweet spot for the shape at a mid-range price. Mind the weight: at 365 to 375 grams with a high balance, lighter players can tire in long matches, so hold it before you buy.

Competitive level

Advanced left-side players who finish with víboras and rulos will like the comfort and the price. If you finish with hard, flat smashes or want a dry, precise feel at the net, a firmer diamond from Bullpadel's pro line, such as the Vertex or Hack range, suits you better.

How It Compares

How it compares

Against the Bullpadel Ionic Power 2026, the recipe on paper is the same: diamond, 365 to 375 grams, high balance, carbon and fiberglass faces and a dual-density core. Reviewers describe a similar easy-power character, so if you find the 2025 model discounted, it is the value pick. The Bullpadel Ionic Control FIP 25 is its round, low-balance sibling in the same line. It is the better choice for right-side players who build points and want more control on blocks, at the cost of finishing power.
