8.5Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2025
Oxdog · 2025
Exceptional maneuverability for a diamond racket
May lack sufficient mass for elite power hitters
8It whips through víboras and net exchanges faster than most power diamonds and still finishes overheads. Best for advanced attackers with clean contact; players who need help on off-centre defence should look at something rounder. The trade-off is a small, high sweet spot.

All-court player who prizes control, feel and spin
Bowe is convinced that the racket, shoes, court are the problem, never his own abilities.
The Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2026 is the lighter version of Oxdog's flagship diamond. It uses the same mould, HES Carbon 8K face with a sandy finish and Medium+ foam as the Ultimate Pro, but weighs about 350 to 355 grams, roughly 15 grams less. The balance is high, and the RBS system lets you add an 8 gram weight in the handle to bring it lower and make the racket more stable. Oxdog adds PowerRibs in the frame, Vibradamp against vibration and larger drilled holes around the sweet spot. Retail sits around 389 euros, with discounts down to roughly 287.
The point of the Light is simple: diamond attacking power with a faster swing, for players who would rather accelerate the racket than rely on mass.
What the Reviewers Say
Reviewers agree on speed. Padel Test by Roberto Cardi calls it the most manoeuvrable and powerful racket in the line in his title, and Padel Review describes it as agile, lean and fast, made for players who like to accelerate. Probando Palas puts it up against the Babolat Air Viper as one of the lightest attacking rackets of 2026.
The feel is firm but not harsh. padel.how writes that "impact sits around medium-firm rather than genuinely hard", with a crisp, connected face. The same review is the clearest on the catch: the usable sweet spot is "medium-small and positioned in the upper-central part of the face", and contact a few centimetres outside it loses pace and control. Padelful reaches the same verdict, fast diamond power with a demanding sweet spot. PADELREVIEW ENG tests control, power and spin and rates it as a racket for solid technique.
How it plays..
This is a quick, crisp racket with real spin from the sandy face, and the low weight keeps it easy to handle across long matches. Players who value placement should note that the high balance and small sweet spot make soft touch shots less forgiving than on a teardrop. Adding the RBS weight is worth trying if you want more stability.
Defense
Defence is the weak point. The low mass and high sweet spot give little help on off-centre balls from the back glass, and lobs need clean contact to reach depth.
Attack
In attack it does what it was built for. The head-heavy balance and fast swing give strong smashes and kick smashes, and the sandy face helps víboras bite. Power depends on your own acceleration more than on frame weight.
Netplay
At the net it is one of the quickest diamonds around. Reaction volleys and fast exchanges are a strength, and bandejas and víboras get good spin when you hit the upper part of the face.
Our Advice for New Players
Not a beginner racket. The small sweet spot punishes mishits and the head-heavy balance is hard to control while technique is still developing.
Our Advice for Intermediate Players
High-intermediate players with consistent contact can use it, especially those moving up from a heavy diamond. Others should first look at something more forgiving.
Competitive level
The best fit: advanced attacking players, often on the left, who want a fast, light power racket and generate their own speed.
How It Compares
The standard Oxdog Ultimate Pro 2026 uses the same build at a higher weight: more stability and plug-and-play power, less speed. The Babolat Air Viper is the closest rival in the light attacking class, as Probando Palas points out. Pick the Light if swing speed matters more to you than mass.
