Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2027

What to expect

On paper this is a power racket for advanced attackers who want a faster swing than a standard diamond gives. The light weight should help at the net, but the high balance and medium-hard core point to a smaller sweet spot low on the face. Watch for how the 2027 version differs from 2026 once reviewers test it.

The Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2027 is the light version of Oxdog's Ultimate Pro diamond line. It keeps the diamond shape and the high balance, but the frame is lighter, so the racket should swing faster and react quicker at the net.

Retailers aim it at advanced players who attack and like to hit the ball high on the face. Most spec sheets list 350g; our import shows 355g, so the exact weight is uncertain until the brand page publishes final figures. At the time of writing the Oxdog Italy page lists it as arriving soon at about 389 euros.

What the Brand Says

Oxdog and its retailers say the light weight combined with the high balance and a hard construction gives the power of a diamond with the speed of a lighter racket. The line uses an EVA Medium+ core, HES Carbon 8K faces and a carbon frame, and Oxdog rates its hardness at 65 with a swingweight of 160.

Retailers also list the RBS (Racket Balance System): a 6g stainless steel weight that you fit at the handle. Oxdog says it adds a more head-heavy feel and extra smash power; without it, the racket is at its most manoeuvrable.

We found no hands-on review of the 2027 version yet. The 2026 Ultimate Pro Light was reviewed widely, and those reviews describe the line, not this year's model.

How It Compares

On paper, the 2027 model shares the 2026 Ultimate Pro Light's core figures: about 350g, diamond shape, high balance, EVA Medium+ core and hardness 65. The brand has not yet said what changed. Against the standard Ultimate Pro, the Light version gives up roughly 10g, which should trade some smash weight for speed at the net.

Pros & Cons

Strengths

  • Light 350g frame should make it quick at the net
  • Head-heavy diamond should still give real smash power
  • Optional 6g RBS weight lets you tune the balance
  • Rough carbon surface should help on spin shots

Considerations

  • The high balance will likely shrink the sweet spot low on the face
  • Medium-hard feel may tire the arm of less trained players
  • Premium price for a racket nobody has tested yet
