Lok Maxx Flow Gen 2 20267.8

Conclusion

The Maxx Flow Gen 2 gives predictable, controlled output from the back and clean volleys at the net. It suits intermediate to advanced all-court players who build points; hard hitters who want to finish from far out should look elsewhere. Off-centre hits are the trade-off: one reviewer found the ball sits on the face when you miss the middle.

The Lok Maxx Flow Gen 2 is the 2026 control racket in Lok's top line and the model Bea Caldera plays. It is a round, evenly balanced racket with 18K carbon faces and an EVA core, set against its diamond sibling, the Maxx Hype, which is the attacking option.

The second generation keeps the idea of the first: calm, precise ball output from a stable frame. Lok adds a hole pattern that it says helps ball exit and ridges on the face for spin. Declared weight is 360 to 375g, though one independent measurement put a sample closer to 350g.

What the Reviewers Say

Reviewers agree on the character: this is a control racket with enough power to stay honest, not a finisher.

PADELREVIEW ENG liked it from the back and at the net, calling it "solid and very forgiving" in defence and describing overheads as "controlled rather than explosive". They scored it 7.5 across most areas and warned that the price is high for a racket they found a little fragile.

Padel Market saw the same balance of power and control but a stricter sweet spot. In their words, "the sweet spot punishes a little", and when you miss the centre the ball stays on the face, which they noticed on blocks and on heavy spin. They place it for advanced players who want one racket to defend and attack with.

PadelVerdict's written review rates control highest and power lowest, and describes the core as built "to absorb and redirect, not amplify". It also reports comfort good enough for several sessions a week.

The split is the sweet spot. Two sources call it generous; the Padel Market tester found it narrower. Players with clean technique will see less of the problem.

Our take: Lars's summary

The Maxx Flow Gen 2 is at its best when you build the point: deep, steady balls from the back, a controlled bandeja, and volleys that go where you aim them. It will not win points for you from the back glass. Right-side players who like a touch more ball output and forgiveness should test the sweet spot before buying.

How It Compares

Against the Lok Maxx Hype Gen 2, the Flow gives up power at the net for control and a calmer feel; pick the Hype if you finish points. Against the Adidas Cross It Ctrl, both are round control rackets for patient players, and the choice comes down to feel.
