Lok Easy Hype Gen 2 2026

What to expect

On paper this is a power racket that tries to stay manageable: diamond shape and high balance for the smash, a flexible fibre face and memory EVA to keep the hit comfortable. It should suit intermediate players who want to start finishing points overhead. Players with sore arms or a defensive game may find the high balance tiring.

The Easy Hype Gen 2 is the 2026 entry model in Lok's Hype line, the power family led by the Maxx Hype. It keeps the line's diamond shape and high balance but swaps the carbon faces for Lok's Flex Fiber, a mixed carbon worked in three planes, over a memory EVA core.

Lok and its retailers aim it at intermediate players who want more attack. Retailers list the weight as 360 to 375 g, with one listing 365 to 375 g, so the exact figure is uncertain until the racket is on a scale.

What the Brand Says

Lok says the Asymmetric Heart, its asymmetric core with lateral steps that work as ribs, adds stiffness without losing stability. The brand says the Flex Fiber layers let it tune flexibility zone by zone, and that the memory EVA recovers its shape faster for more power. Lok also lists a Gradual Face to cut vibration, carbon reinforcement at stress points and an Equal Hole System that it says widens the sweet spot.

Zona de Padel's launch overview of the Gen 2 collection places the Easy Hype as the lighter, more flexible option for intermediate players, and says its materials are meant to reduce injury risk. That is a catalogue overview, not a hands-on test of this model.

How It Compares

On paper, the Maxx Hype Gen 2 uses 18K carbon and a custom EVA for advanced players, and the Carb-on Hype Gen 2 uses a lower-grade carbon for a versatile advanced player. The Easy Hype shares the shape and balance of both but uses fibre faces, which should make it softer and more forgiving and less precise. Against the first Easy Hype, Lok has not published a clear list of changes beyond the Gen 2 technologies above.

Pros & Cons

Strengths

  • Diamond shape and high balance should favour smashes and viboras
  • Flex Fiber face should give a comfortable, forgiving hit
  • Lower price than the carbon Hype models
  • Same asymmetric core design as the rest of the Hype line

Considerations

  • High balance will likely tire the wrist in long defensive rallies
  • Fibre face should give less bite and precision than the carbon versions
  • Not yet tested by enough reviewers
