Winning a match relies on a sequence of tactical choices that prioritize control over power. The process begins with a high-quality serve that prevents the opponent from dominating the return. A strong serve allows the serving team to move forward and take the net position immediately, creating pressure that often leads to errors from the opponents. When returning, the goal is to neutralize the serve with a deep lob, which allows for a transition to the net.

Defensive play requires patience and slow ball speed to minimize the opponent's attacking options. Conversely, attacking play demands high speed to force the opponent to chase the ball. Tactical order involves hitting to the center to reduce the bounce, especially with a bandeja or volley, keeping the ball low to force the opponent to hit upward. When the opponents leave a gap in the corner, the play should follow that space.
