Lob rallies persist when net players hit balls that bounce high off the back glass. To prevent this, keep volleys and bandejas low by using significant slice and a long follow-through. Avoid flat or topspin shots, as these cause the ball to rise off the glass, providing opponents with an easy opportunity to lob. Aim shots toward the fence or corners rather than through the middle to disrupt defensive rhythm. Shorter balls that do not reach the back wall are also effective at neutralizing an opponent's ability to lob.

When opponents successfully lob, adjust court positioning by stepping further back from the net. This creates more time to execute a bandeja or a bajada. Use the bajada to hit the ball from a high contact point directly at the feet of the net players, forcing them to move forward and backward. This vertical movement is more taxing than moving side to side. Consistently hitting to the feet prevents net players from maintaining an aggressive position and creates space behind them for subsequent lobs.
