The forehand starts from the ready position by bringing the racket back no further than the right leg. This short backswing prevents excess tension and keeps the arm moving naturally between the hip and knee. Keep the arm close to the body, maintaining a gap of about four fingers. The point of impact must be in front of the body to ensure control and fluidity.

Weight transfer is essential for power. Step onto the right foot first to load the weight, while pointing at the ball with the left hand. Drive forward from the right foot to transfer body weight into the shot. The follow-through should finish at shoulder height in one continuous motion. To direct the ball, align the right foot with the ball's path. Hitting the ball well in front sends it cross-court, while letting it travel deeper allows for center or down-the-line shots.
