The bandeja requires a high racket preparation before the ball arrives. Keep the left hand steady to maintain a horizontal shoulder line throughout the swing. Avoid dropping the hand immediately, as this causes the racket to drop and leads to a low, uncontrolled shot. The contact point should be high and far to the right side of the body. A long, smooth follow-through is more effective than sudden acceleration, which often leads to excessive wrist movement and timing errors.

To ensure a consistent trajectory, focus on hitting the ball in front of the body. When playing straight, aim to land the ball before the service line to prevent it from bouncing off the back wall. Use the arm for the motion rather than rotating the upper body, keeping the torso fixed to maintain control. The top of the racket should point toward the back wall at the end of the follow-through.
