StarVie Triton Pro 20257.9

Conclusion

Struck cleanly, it sends volleys and smashes exactly where you aim them, with real weight behind the ball. Buy it if you are an advanced attacker with a fast arm and good fitness; skip it if you defend a lot or are still building your technique. The hard core gives almost no free ball exit from the back.

The StarVie Triton Pro 2025 is the hardest of the three Tritons StarVie made for 2025, and the one aimed at players who win points from above. All three share one frame: a high-balance teardrop with two layers of 3K carbon on the faces, the star-patterned Full Plane Effect texture and Noene damping under the grip. What separates them is the rubber. The Pro keeps the firm EVA Pro 50 core, the Triton Soft gets the softer Soft 30, and the new Pro Touch sits in between. StarVie dropped the softer Ultra Speed version from earlier seasons.

StarVie calls the shape a teardrop, but with a balance point around 27.5 to 28 cm it swings more like a diamond, and the4Set, who weighed his test sample at 369g, even describes it as one. For 2025 the heart was reshaped for two-handed shots, and the handle keeps StarVie's extra centimetre of length. The Triton was long known as Javi Garrido's racket, though he played with Wilson in 2025.

List price was around €285, but many shops now sell it for €175 to €200, which makes it one of the cheaper flagship power rackets of that season. For 2026 StarVie replaced the line with the Triton Power and Triton Balance.

What the Reviewers Say

What the reviewers say

Four reviews, in English, Spanish and Italian, agree that this is one of the most powerful rackets of 2025 and that it asks a lot in return. They split on spin and on how heavy the head feels.

the4Set tested the three 2025 Tritons side by side, and at the net the Pro came out on top. With a short preparation the ball leaves the face with a lot of weight and holds the line you chose, and he called it "one of the most accurate rackets I have ever tried." Defence is the price. He found almost no free ball output, so every defensive shot has to be struck well. In his smash test, ten smashes per racket, the Pro tied with the Pro Touch on distance. He recommends it only for very offensive players with solid technique and good fitness.

Mejora Tu Padel ranked it fourth in his top five power rackets of 2025 and called it the queen of power. His summary: "It is not for everyone. The head pulls and it is hard to handle, but when you catch it right, the power is spectacular." He put the balance at 272 to 273 mm and scored its value 8 out of 10 at around €200, well above the Wilson, Head and Adidas rackets on the same list.

Zona de Pádel tested the 2025 Triton with the Pro 50 core on court. Their tester, Joaquín, had no real trouble in defence and noticed a change from older versions: "the sweet spot is better spread out, not as small as in previous editions." He sees it as a racket for aggressive players who live off their overheads.

Padel Review, from Italy, reviewed the new Pro Touch and used the Pro as the benchmark. The Pro Touch gives up a little control and power, they said, but is much easier to play. About the Pro under pressure they were blunt: "in tough spots with the Triton Pro, either you're Di Giovanni or you're lost."

Spin is where they disagree most. Zona de Pádel and Mejora Tu Padel rate the 3D texture as clearly rough and good for spin. the4Set wanted more bite: he struggled to put spin on volleys and felt the ball slip on víboras, especially with new balls. Manoeuvrability splits them too. Mejora Tu Padel found the head hard to control, while the4Set was surprised how easily it moved for its balance.

How it plays..

Our take: Bowe's summary

The Triton Pro suits a player who wants a crisp, direct response, because a cleanly struck ball goes exactly where it is aimed and carries real weight. The surface and the head are what to check before buying. Reviewers do not agree that the texture grips enough for sliced volleys and víboras, and the high balance makes long defensive rallies hard work. Players whose game runs on spin and quick hands rather than outright power should test it before they buy.

Defense

Back of the court

This is the Pro's weak zone. The hard Pro 50 core adds very little free ball exit, so lobs and resets from the glass only travel if you swing through them properly. the4Set preferred the Pro Touch in defence for that reason, and Padel Review said the Pro leaves you struggling to get the ball back over under pressure. The upside is control. Because the racket adds so little, a well-struck defensive ball lands where you meant it. Zona de Pádel's tester had no real defensive problems with it, so sound technique makes it workable.

Attack

On the attack

Overheads are the reason to buy it. Mejora Tu Padel called the power brutal once you connect, and in the4Set's smash test it matched the Pro Touch for distance, with the long grip adding leverage. The high balance carries the head through the ball on the smash. Timing is the catch. The sweet spot sits high and is not large, so late or off-centre contact costs a lot, and you feel the extra head weight late in a match.

Netplay

At the net

For volleys, the4Set rated the Pro best of the three 2025 Tritons. With a short preparation the ball comes off heavy and holds its line. Powerful bandejas suit it as well. Slow, placed bandejas are harder, because the firm core and the few extra grams over the other Tritons make it demanding when you only want to hold your position. Whether you get enough spin on the víbora depends on whose review you trust: the texture is rough enough for Zona de Pádel and Mejora Tu Padel, and not rough enough for the4Set, especially with new balls.

Our Advice for New Players

Not a racket to learn with. The hard core, high balance and small sweet spot punish exactly the mistakes a new player makes. A round, even-balanced racket with a softer core is a far better start.

Our Advice for Intermediate Players

Most intermediates should look at the Triton Pro Touch 2025 instead. It keeps most of the power with a friendlier core, and reviewers found it much easier in defence. The Pro only makes sense for a strong intermediate with a fast, clean swing who already finishes points at the net.

Competitive level

This is its audience. Advanced left-side attackers with good fitness get top-level power and precision at the net, and at current prices it costs less than most flagship power rackets. If your game relies on heavy spin rather than pace, try it first, because the surface divides reviewers.

How It Compares

How it compares

Against the StarVie Triton Pro Touch 2025: same frame and faces, with a medium-hard core. It gives up a little control and power, but reviewers found it much easier in defence, and the4Set measured the same smash distance. Pick the Pro only if you already play hard power rackets comfortably.

Against the Head Coello Pro 2025: another head-heavy power racket from the same Mejora Tu Padel top five. He rated both among the most powerful rackets of the year, but gave the Triton Pro a far better value score, 8 against 5. Choose the Coello Pro for Head's diamond shape and a slightly less hard core, and the Triton Pro for a harder, more direct and cheaper option.
