8.4Royal Padel M27 R Control 2024
Royal Padel · 2024
Exceptional control for precision shots
Moderate power requires good technique to maximize potential
8.4The M27 LTD 2024 sends the ball out easily from defence and keeps vibration close to zero, which makes it a strong pick for control players and anyone nursing an elbow. Flat hitters who want to finish points from the service line should look elsewhere, because the flat smash lacks bite unless you hit it dead centre.

All-court player who prizes control, feel and spin
Bowe is convinced that the racket, shoes, court are the problem, never his own abilities.
The M27 is Royal Padel's long-running flagship, and the Polietileno LTD 2024 keeps the recipe that made it popular: a round head, a soft polyethylene core and a full carbon build. The Spanish brand, active since 1991, markets it as a racket for expert and competitive players who want control without giving up comfort, and it costs around €240.
The 2024 edition is an update, not a new racket. Royal Padel added 3D Hexcel Twill carbon reinforcements to the face, throat and frame for durability, and Zona de Pádel notes a slightly lower weight, a new look and a rough surface for slice. The brand quotes 360 to 380 g; one test unit weighed 374 g. Reviewers do not agree on the balance: Zona de Pádel calls it medium-low, while Roberto Cardi measured about 26.7 cm and called it a touch high for a round shape.
What the Reviewers Say
The reviewers agree on comfort and control. Roberto Cardi, in his on-court test, notes the unusual sound first and then the feel: he calls it "very, very comfortable" and reports vibration at practically zero. He sees it as "more precision than power", finds bandeja and víbora easy to shape with good slice, and gives the wall exits his highest marks for placement. His one reservation is the flat smash, where he feels the racket gives something away, and the power drops when you miss the centre.
Padel Ibérico is more generous on output. Their short court test says it is "one of the most powerful round rackets on the market", with a lot of rebound on the volley, and they give it full marks in defence while still finding it easy to handle thanks to the shape and low balance.
Zona de Pádel, in its 2024 collection review, places it as the crown jewel of the range: medium feel, soft polyethylene, 100% carbon, and a racket that "helps reduce the risk of injuries like tennis elbow" by limiting vibration. They recommend it to intermediate and advanced players who like to control the tempo of a match. Padelreference's tester scores follow the same line, with control and spin rated well above power.
The split is about power. Padel Ibérico finds plenty of it; Roberto Cardi finds good ball exit on soft shots but less bite when you hit flat and hard.
How it plays..
The M27 LTD 2024 is a comfort-first control racket with a generous ball exit, and the evidence supports its reputation for low vibration and precise placement. The rough face gives real help with slice and spin on the bandeja. Players who like a crisp, firm response should know the soft polyethylene core makes feedback more muted, and the ball can leave the face with more pace than expected on touch shots at the net.
Defense
Defence is where this racket earns its price. The soft core and large sweet spot let you lift the ball out of the corners with little effort, and Roberto Cardi rated the low and high wall exits among its best shots. Padel Ibérico gave it a 10 in this area.
Attack
In attack it is solid rather than explosive. Bandejas and víboras with slice come easily off the rough face. Flat smashes hit dead centre go out with decent pace, but off-centre or flat power shots lose speed, so players who finish with a flat smash will want a head-heavier frame.
Netplay
At the net the easy ball exit helps on blocks and deep volleys, and the round shape keeps it quick in exchanges despite the measured balance. Drop volleys need a soft hand, because the core returns plenty of pace on its own.
Our Advice for New Players
Beginners get a forgiving sweet spot and a comfortable feel, but at 360 to 380 g and around €240 it is more racket than a first-year player needs. A lighter, cheaper round model is the better start.
Our Advice for Intermediate Players
Intermediates who play a control game are the best match. The big sweet spot covers mishits, the defence is easy, and the low vibration suits players who play several times a week or have had elbow trouble.
Competitive level
Advanced right-side players who build points with lobs, slice and wall play will get the most from it. Left-side finishers who rely on flat smashes should choose something with more head weight.
How It Compares
The Royal Padel RP M27 Polietileno LTD 2023 is the same concept without the 3D Hexcel Twill reinforcements and the rough finish; if you find it discounted and do not care about extra spin, it plays in a very similar way. The Royal Padel M27 R Control 2024 uses a mixed EVA and polyethylene core and a 12K face for a firmer, crisper feel, so it suits control players who find pure polyethylene too soft. Players who want the same comfort in a lighter frame can look at the Royal Padel M27 Light 2024.
