Bullpadel Hack 05 20278.4

Conclusion

The Hack 05 turns a fast, full swing into heavy smashes and víboras, and it feels less harsh than the Hack 04. It suits advanced attackers who finish at the net. Developing and control-first players should look elsewhere: off-centre hits and defence still ask a lot.

The Bullpadel Hack 05 2027 is Paquito Navarro's racket and the most attacking diamond in Bullpadel's pro line. It keeps the recipe the Hack is known for: a firm Tricarbon 18K face, a MultiEVA core and a high balance that puts a lot of mass in the head. At around €350 it sits at the top of the brand's price range.

The changes for 2027 are in the frame and the heart, not the materials. Bullpadel reworked the heart with a vertical reinforcement, redesigned the frame (ExoAir) and widened the air channels, all to make the swing faster. The average weight went up to about 370g, and the face now has a rougher grain in place of last year's circular texture, which many players disliked.

What the Reviewers Say

What the reviewers say

The testers who have had it on court agree on the headline: the Hack 05 is still a power racket, but it is easier to live with than the Hack 04. Nicolas from RacketshopTV played it for several hours and found it less stiff than before, with a slightly bigger sweet spot. His summary: "More forgiving, more feel, but still a weapon for heavy smashes." He still rates it stiffer and more head-heavy than the Vertex 05.

pdhsports noticed the quicker swing, a bit more power and less vibration in the arm. The limit has not moved, though: "It isn't a racket that is designed to give you loads and loads of forgiveness." Off-centre hits still lose a clear share of their output.

Dani 13 went through the 2027 catalogue before launch and read the specs the other way. With a higher average weight, a slightly higher balance and a stiffer heart, he expected "a Hack that is a little stiffer and drier than last year's." That was a first look on paper, not an on-court test, and the on-court reports so far point to a slightly softer feel. He did welcome the new, rougher face texture.

Zona de Padel places it as the most aggressive option in Bullpadel's 2027 line, with "maximum power, firm touch, and a response designed to accelerate the game offensively." In its comparison, the Vertex 05 2027 is the easier racket to manage over a long match.

How it plays..

Our take: Kaj's summary

The Hack 05 is a smoother Hack, not an easy racket. The extra comfort helps, but the head-heavy balance and the small diamond sweet spot still punish late or off-centre contact, and that shows most in defence and late in a match when the arm gets tired. If your technique is still settling, the Hack 05 Hybrid or the Vertex 05 gives you more margin. If you already hit clean overheads, this is one of the strongest finishing rackets of 2027.

Defense

This is where the Hack asks the most. The high balance makes quick reactions off the back glass and low blocks harder work than with a round or hybrid racket, and lobs need a full, controlled swing. Reviewers say the 2027 version feels more stable on contact, which helps on firm defensive shots, but it is still not a racket that bails you out.

Attack

The reason to buy it. The weight in the head and the firm face give heavy smashes, fast víboras and overheads that get the ball out of the court more easily than most rackets. The rougher face adds grip for spin. It rewards a full, confident swing and gives much less back on a half-hearted one.

Netplay

At the net the quicker swing is noticeable, and volleys come off hard and direct. The bandeja needs good timing because the head wants to keep going, so players who like to slow the point down will find the Vertex 05 easier.

Our Advice for New Players

Not a good choice. The weight, the balance and the firm feel make it hard to build good technique and put strain on the arm. Start with a round, softer racket.

Our Advice for Intermediate Players

Only for strong intermediates who already hit clean overheads and want more finishing power. If you are not sure, the Hack 05 Hybrid and the Hack 05 Comfort keep the same idea with more margin for error.

Competitive level

The real target. Left-side attackers and players who finish points from the net get a lot of power and more comfort than the Hack 04 gave them. Control and defence players should compare it with the Vertex 05 2027 first.

How It Compares

How it compares

Bullpadel Hack 05 Hybrid 2027: the same technology with a hybrid shape, a lower balance and an aluminised 18K face. Pick the Hybrid if you want Hack power with more control near the walls and in defence. Pick the Hack 05 if you want maximum smash power.

Bullpadel Vertex 05 2027: easier to handle, more even in balance and a bit softer. Pick the Vertex for long matches and all-court play. Pick the Hack if your game is built on finishing overheads.
