Vibora technique: using side slice and soft speed

The vibora requires a compact preparation, similar to holding a beach ball, to maintain control and generate effective side slice. Players often make the mistake of pulling the racket too far back before contact, which causes a loss of touch and unnecessary tension. By keeping the arm relaxed and the preparation small, the wrist remains loose enough to brush around the side of the ball at the two o'clock position. This motion produces a ball that rotates awkwardly off the glass, making it significantly harder for opponents to return compared to a flat, high-speed shot.

Targeting the opponent's feet or forcing them to turn their body away from the net creates the most difficult defensive situations. When the ball is played too fast, defenders can easily block it or volley it back without moving. A semi-soft, deep ball forces the defender to step away or use the glass, often leading to errors. Varying the placement between the center, the corners, and the feet keeps the opposition moving and prevents them from settling into a comfortable rhythm.
