The serve requires bouncing the ball forward to create a higher contact point, ensuring the hit remains below the hip. Preparing the racket from a high position allows the ball to travel downward, making it difficult for the opponent to counterattack. Maintaining a low trajectory is the primary objective to secure the net position immediately after the serve.

Communication with a partner before every point is essential to decide the target, whether to the glass, the middle, or the T, based on the opponent's weaknesses. To prevent the returner from anticipating the direction, keep the feet neutral and use only the eyes to aim until the final moment. Varying the serve, especially on a second attempt, serves as a tactical surprise to disrupt the opponent's rhythm.

Effective serving involves holding the racket low on the handle to generate spin, causing the ball to flatten upon hitting the glass. A successful serve is one that forces a weak return, allowing the server to apply immediate pressure on the following shot.
