The passing shot often fails in padel because two net players cover the width of the court easily. A ball hit with enough speed to pass them will bounce off the back glass and remain playable. Even professional players struggle to pass opponents at the net unless they force a mistake or hit a ball that stays low.

Instead of trying to pass, aim for the feet of the net players to force a weak volley. This allows you to move forward and take the net position yourself. Alternatively, use a lob to push the opponents back. The only time a passing shot works is when you attack a ball bouncing off the back glass after a lob, provided you can hit it with high accuracy.
