Volleying deep often causes the ball to bounce upward, making it easier for opponents to lob. Aiming volleys at the feet keeps the ball low and prevents the opponent from playing an easy half-volley lob. While targeting the weaker player is a standard strategy, shifting to cross-court play becomes necessary if that player starts hitting effective parallel lobs or if your own overheads are struggling to penetrate the middle.

Lobs should not always be hit deep. A high, soft lob landing near the service line forces opponents to move forward and play a difficult vibora. Conversely, a quick, flat lob is better suited for deep placement. Follow-through is not a conscious action but a natural result of a correct contact point in front of the body. If you hit the ball behind you, a full swing is physically impossible.

Serving from below the waist limits power and spin, whereas waist-high contact allows for a downward trajectory and better control. In defense, soft shots are effective near the service line, but playing too soft from the back glass allows opponents time to attack. Adjust shot speed based on your distance from the net and the opponent's position. Avoid telling your partner to just keep the ball in, as this removes tactical focus and increases stress.
