Effective attacking relies on consistent positioning and disciplined movement. When attacking, focus on the player currently defending to keep them under pressure while the partner remains ready to cover the open court. Avoid accelerating and changing the ball's direction simultaneously, as this leaves insufficient time to recover into a balanced position. Move toward the net slowly, using a maximum of two steps to maintain control over the next volley.
Prioritize the second bounce of the ball rather than the first. Aim for the area before the white line so the ball dies near the glass, making it difficult for the opponent to return. When the opponent is in a defensive position with a low contact point, move closer to the net to intercept. Conversely, if the opponent frequently plays lobs, adjust by stepping back to prepare for overhead shots. Communicate with your partner about the chosen target and the opponents' positions to ensure both players move as a unit. These rules remain variable based on the opponents' specific tendencies and shot quality.
