Tecnifibre Curva Soft 20267.6

Conclusion

Lobs and resets go deep with a short swing, and off-centre defensive balls still come back. Buy it if you build points and want comfort on the arm. Players who finish with the smash or punch hard volleys will find it too lively and short on pace.

The Curva Soft is the comfort model in Tecnifibre's Curva family, the teardrop line the French brand launched in 2025 to push further into padel. A carbon and fibreglass face over a soft EVA core gives it easy depth, a forgiving hitting area and a gentle feel on the arm. At around 360g with a neutral balance, it swings easily.

Its siblings are the Curva Power, with an 18K carbon face for more punch, and the lighter, firmer Curva Speed. All three use Tecnifibre's X-Speed channels, which the brand says help the frame move through the air and keep the ball low after a bajada. For 2026, retailers list a new black and blue colourway on the same construction, so reviews of the 2025 model still apply. UK retail is roughly £175 to £200, which puts it in the mid range.

What the Reviewers Say

What the reviewers say

Reviewers agree on the basics: this is the softest and easiest Curva, with plenty of ball output and good handling. They differ on how big the sweet spot feels and on how much control the easy output costs.

PADELARTE tested the 2026 version and put forgiveness first: "The sweet spot is much wider than on the Curva Power and Curva Speed." Control rated close to the two siblings, and the racket stood out most in defence, where the softer feel gets the ball out quickly. The reviewer added a fair caveat: a fast ball exit does not mean power, because the ball loses pace later in its flight.

PADELARTE's earlier test of the 2025 model was more critical. In defence the sweet spot felt only medium: "For a racket with this much ball exit, I would like a bigger sweet spot." Overhead, the reviewer needed more force for speed than with the Curva Speed. Volleys scored around 8 out of 10 for comfort and for handling slow balls, with some loss of control on firm volleys.

The players Total Padel brought to the Curva launch picked the Soft for touch. One said: "You can feel the softness when you play, the touch is really good," and named drop shots and chiquitas as its best shots. Another was surprised he could still smash and finish points with it.

On Energy Padel's channel, a tester liked the wide sweet spot and found the Soft even less stiff than the Speed. His warning: "In this heat it gives too much ball output, so it is harder to control." Tecnifibre's representative in the same video called it the easiest of the three for club players, with the most power for little effort.

How it plays..

Our take: Lars's summary

The Curva Soft does its best work when the job is to keep the point alive and move the opponent around. Lobs and resets go deep with little effort, and defensive balls caught off centre still come back. The same easy output needs managing: firm volleys and blocks can carry further than planned, especially in warm weather, so right-side players who build points at the net should keep the swing short. It finishes few points on its own, but long rallies feel comfortable with it.

Defense

Reviewers rate it highest in defence. The soft core gets the ball out of the corner and off the back glass quickly, so deep lobs and resets need only a short swing. With a wide head and neutral balance, it comes round in time without effort. PADELARTE's 2025 test is the one dissent: there the sweet spot felt only medium in defence.

Attack

Attack is its weakest area. The ball leaves the face quickly, but a fast smash needs a full, committed swing, and PADELARTE's 2025 test needed noticeably more force overhead than with the Curva Speed. Spin is where it helps. The 3D surface texture grips the ball, so víboras and sliced bajadas come off with plenty of rotation, and Tecnifibre designed the X-Speed channels to keep the ball low after a bajada.

Netplay

At the net it is comfortable and quick to prepare. Soft contact makes touch shots easy: the Total Padel testers singled out drop shots and chiquitas, and PADELARTE liked how it responds to slow balls. Firm, punched volleys are the catch, because the extra output can send them long. A compact block works better with the Curva Soft than a big swing.

Our Advice for New Players

A good choice for beginners who play regularly and want a racket that still suits them in two years. It is forgiving, comfortable and easy to swing. At this price it sits a step above a true entry racket, so a first-time player who is not sure about the sport can spend less.

Our Advice for Intermediate Players

Intermediates are the core audience. Players who build points, defend a lot and want comfort for the arm get easy depth and a wide hitting area. If you already hit a heavy smash and want the racket to finish the point, look at the Curva Power instead.

Competitive level

Advanced players who value touch and comfort can play it well, and PADELARTE expects an advanced player to adapt to it without trouble. Net attackers at this level will mostly find it too lively on hard volleys and short on pace overhead. The firmer Curva Speed or the Curva Power suits them better.

How It Compares

How it compares

The Tecnifibre Curva Power 2026 has the same weight and shape, with an 18K carbon face for more punch on the smash. Pick the Power if you finish points overhead, and the Soft if you defend more and want comfort.

The Tecnifibre Curva Speed 2026 is lighter at 355g, with a firmer core and 16K carbon. It is more precise and crisp but less forgiving, and suits players who make their own pace. The Soft suits players who want help from the racket.

Against the Tecnifibre Curva Soft 2025, retailers list only a new colourway on the same construction and technologies. A discounted 2025 model plays the same.
