StarVie Titania Kepler 2.0 20238.4

Conclusion

The Titania Kepler 2.0 keeps the ball in play: the large sweet spot and soft EVA core make blocks, lobs and resets easy to repeat. Intermediate players who build points will get the most from it. Players who finish with flat, hard smashes should look at a diamond shape, because the power here stays modest.

The Titania Kepler 2.0 2023 is StarVie's round, control-first racket in the mid-range price bracket. A soft EVA core sits behind fiberglass faces in a carbon frame, and the weight is spread evenly between head and handle. StarVie's Extreme Spot design enlarges the sweet spot, so off-centre hits still come off the face cleanly. Together the soft core and fiberglass faces give more comfort than a typical round racket while keeping the feedback clear enough to place the ball.

How it plays..

Our take: Christoph's summary

The Kepler 2.0 does its best work before the finishing shot. Its even balance and large sweet spot make it predictable in defence and at the net, and the soft core takes pace off hard incoming balls. Right-side players who close points with a committed forehand or a hard smash should note that the round head and soft core give back less power than a diamond shape does.

Defense

Defense

This is where the racket is strongest. The round shape and large sweet spot make hard incoming balls easy to handle, and the fiberglass faces flex enough to absorb pace without the ball flying long. Lobs and defensive returns stay controlled, which helps you hold long rallies from the back of the court.

Attack

Offense

Power is modest. The Kepler 2.0 rewards clean technique with accurate placement and enough pace to attack, but it does not produce the raw power of a diamond-shaped racket. On faster exchanges the large sweet spot keeps your attacking shots consistent. Players who win the point with placement will get more from it than players who try to hit through the opponent.

Netplay

Net play

The even balance keeps the racket quick in fast exchanges at the net. Its medium-soft touch gives good feel on volleys and touch shots, and the sweet spot saves the volleys you catch off-centre. It suits a net game built on placement and control.

Our Advice for New Players

Beginners

The large sweet spot and controlled power reduce mishits and help new players keep the ball in play. Its price is high for a first racket. A beginner who plans to keep improving will not outgrow it quickly, though, and the comfortable feel suits learning clean technique.

Our Advice for Intermediate Players

Intermediate players

This is the best fit. The mix of control and manageable power suits players who are still refining their technique and building a tactical game. It gives enough feedback to show you when a shot was clean, and the sweet spot keeps your rallies consistent while you learn.

Competitive level

Advanced players

Advanced players who value control and positioning will find it precise and reliable. Players who rely on power to finish will miss the extra pace. It fits an advanced player with a complete, tactical game more than a specialist attacker.
