Bullpadel Vertex 03 Comfort 20238.3

Conclusion

It plays like a gentle diamond: easy at the net, calm on off-centre hits and kind to the arm. A good step up for intermediate players who want more reach overhead without a stiff racket. Players who live off flat, hard smashes will find it short on punch.

The Vertex 03 Comfort 2023 is the softer version of Bullpadel's best-known diamond and the racket Martín Di Nenno plays with. Where the standard Vertex 03 is built for attacking players, the Comfort swaps in a Fibrix face that mixes glass and carbon fibre, so the ball sits on the face a little longer and off-centre hits are less harsh.

The 2023 model is the 2022 racket with new paint. That matters if you already own the previous one: there is no reason to upgrade. For anyone else it is a well-known, proven shape at a lower price now that newer Vertex models are out.

What the Reviewers Say

The reviewers agree on comfort and forgiveness and disagree a little on balance.

Test Padel played it for several months and calls the sweet spot "almost the whole racket". The tester felt little weight in the head and found it quick at the net, but said it has "a little bit less power than I would expect from a diamond". He also noted the face got softer with heavy use and the matte paint chipped early.

Argentoguês found it the same as the year before: "the racket has only changed aesthetically and nothing more." He felt the balance a bit higher, which helped on viboras and bandejas, and said the rough face grips the ball well. His one negative was a slightly heavy head that is still easy to move.

Padelful rates rebound and sweet spot highest and power lowest, and calls it a strong choice for intermediate players who want to step up their game.

Our take: Kaj's summary

This is one of the easier diamonds to play well with. The big sweet spot and soft face cover for imperfect contact, and the arm stays calm over long matches. The cost is power: flat smashes need clean timing, so developing players should expect to place overheads rather than hit through the glass.

How It Compares

Against the Bullpadel Vertex 03 2023, the Comfort is softer and more forgiving, while the standard version gives more power for players with a fast arm. Against the Bullpadel Hack 03 Comfort 2023, the Vertex is the more control-led and gentler option; the Hack gives more finishing power.
