The Counter Vertuo does what it says: forgiving, light, and easy to rally with. Players who build points through consistency rather than power will find it comfortable in defensive phases and resets. The ceiling is real, though. The soft EVA core only has so much spring, and players with any meaningful swing speed will max it out. Good tool for learning placement and rally management. If you're developing quickly, you'll want to step up within a season or two.

The round shape and central balance keep the racket stable under pressure. The wide sweet spot handles off-center defensive hits well, and the fiberglass face absorbs incoming pace, which matters when you're resetting from deep. The Vibrabsorb System keeps arm strain low through long defensive exchanges, which is one of the stronger reasons to choose this over cheaper alternatives.

Finishing points isn't this racket's job. The soft core gives back what Babolat markets as "easy power" — the ball leaves the strings without much punch. The Counter Viper 2025 (3K carbon, rough 3D Spin texture) is the advanced end of the same family: firmer, more action on the ball, sharper control. pdhsports found it noticeably firmer but still reasonably playable for intermediates because of the wide sweet spot. Beginners should not start here.
