The vibora functions as an attacking overhead shot designed to pressure opponents by generating significant side spin. Players initiate the shot by turning sideways and moving toward the corner, ensuring the racket head remains closed behind the head during preparation. The left arm assists with timing by pointing toward the incoming ball before rotating away during the strike.

Contact occurs at eye level, rather than high above the head, to facilitate a motion that travels through the ball instead of downward. By striking the ball at the 3 to 4 o'clock position, the player creates a snake-like trajectory that stays low off the back glass. A solid foundation is achieved by planting the feet and bending the knees before impact. While the shot can be hit with varying intensity, maintaining 60 to 70 percent power allows for better control and placement. Crosscourt remains the primary target, though middle and down-the-line options provide tactical variety.
