Optimal contact point varies by shot and desired angle.
What Your Guru Thinks
This lesson from Sven is really insightful if you thought hitting the ball in front was always the rule. Sven explains that the best contact point actually depends on the shot you want to play and the angle you want to achieve. He shows how hitting slightly later or more next to you can give you better control and a longer push. Understanding this can really refine your technique across many different shots.
Description
Ladies and gentlemen! Today we focus on the contact point.
Don't Focus on a perfect technique! It does not exicst, this is why I made this video. Too many players are looking to perfectionise their technique. You should focus on functionalise your technique. Work towards getting an adjustable technique and not a perfect one.
Of course! Sometimes you need to hit the ball in front of you, but not in every situation! Please let me know what you think in the comment section.
