Body rotation is essential for generating speed and spin. The left shoulder and left foot move across the body during the preparation, creating a compact stance. As the ball is struck, the body rotates forward, and the left arm follows the motion of the right arm. The racket face should remain open, brushing down on the ball to create spin, finishing with the racket face pointing upward. While technique and shape remain the priority, this specific volley allows for increased power, moving from a standard 50-60 percent effort to roughly 80 percent. The player should focus on moving the body into the ball during the strike to ensure the shot dies on the glass.
