Proper execution requires being close to the net, ideally near the first pillar, to ensure the necessary touch. The movement must be compact and clean, performed in a single tempo. The coach emphasizes cutting the legs of the ball by involving the ball effect, using a ratio of 80 to 90 percent slice and 10 to 20 percent flat contact.

Players often struggle by stopping the racket abruptly after impact. The finish must be complete, with the racket following through as if looking into a mirror. A slightly open Continental grip assists in generating the required slice. To maintain consistency and avoid double-touching the ball, the shot must remain one fluid motion. Stepping forward with the right leg while hitting helps align the body and adds weight to the shot.
