Attacking combinations for left and right court sides

What this lesson covers

On the right side, the attack begins with a deep volley directed toward the opponent's backhand. This forces a defensive lob. The player must hit this initial volley with heavy spin to make the lob difficult. Closing the net quickly after this shot allows the player to intercept the ball and finish the point.

On the left side, the attack targets the side wall or the corner. This placement limits the defender's options, making it hard for them to hit across the court. They will likely return the ball down the line or through the middle. The attacker anticipates this movement by shifting laterally to cut off the return and kill the ball.
